In light of President Obama’s recent promotion of innovative community college and employer partnerships, AACC’s SEED initiative will present “Community College and Employer Partnerships: Real Jobs in the Clean Economy.” Learn how a college and a number of Fortune 500 companies and small suppliers in the building automation and controls industry have come together to develop pathways and design curriculum for workers learning how to manipulate new energy efficient technology. Presenters are Brian Lovell, Director, Green Technologies Academy, Georgia Piedmont Technical College, and Dave Weigel, Kele Corporation.

USGBC Green Building Basics and LEED® online courses

Through December 31, USGBC is offering free access to the Green Building Basics and LEED® online course to signatories of the American College & University Presidents’ Climate Commitment, Title III & Title V schools, and USGBC Higher Education Members. School Administrators should send a request with the name of your school, type of institution (ACUPCC Signatory, Title III or Title V, or USGBC Higher Education Members) and the expected number of participants to greencampus@usgbc.org. Deadline: December 31, 2011.
